Getting the word out

Getting published has never been easier. But being found and read has gotten harder. The services of the traditional publishing industry are no longer attractive. They are also harder than ever to come by. Vanity publishers are having a blast taking your money so you can get published, but being read isn’t their problem. However, there is another way:

Take matters in your own hands. Keep the rights and the profits and don’t ever let anyone come between you and your readers. Assemble your own special forces platoon: Editing, cover art, e- and print publishing and the all important marketing. Now add mountain air transparency every step of the way and you’ll never look back.

Our words:

It is said that it takes one to know one and if you believe that (we do!), you’ll be pleased to know that we write too.

Our blog: The WordLairQuestions worth asking.

Find your readers, connect with them and keep serving them well, is as important as writing. You might have heard it’s all about “platform” building. We confirm: Building your group of readers, keeping them happy and expanding the clan is what it takes to go from published author (with less than two hundred copies sold and even less readers) to become a successful one.

Publishing: We specialize in e-publishing and will make it happen for you. Print editions can be added once you have build a market and there is a demand.

WordPress work: It used to be called “book tours” – now it is blog tours. It used to be called “book signings” – now it’s about on-line interaction. Things have changed (for the better: You don’t have to dress up to meet your readers) and we use the WordPress platform to make it happen. Domain, design, promotion and state of the art monitoring: We’ll do all the plumbing work for you. What’s left for you? Voice, content and reader-ready presence.

Your literary agent can’t find a publisher? Or you don’t even have a literary agent? That’s great! It’s time to stop banging on closed doors asking for last-century contracts: Link up with us and have an honest, no-bs exchange on what you should be doing instead: Write more and interact more (not to mention: worry less). Spill your guts to “writer at SoftwareResearch.com” so we can get the word out.
